Nick is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Supervisor. Nick graduated from Campbell University with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and then completed his Ph.D. coursework at Oregon State University. Throughout his career, Nick has worked with clients in hospital, community, university, non-profit, and private clinical settings.

Nick’s approach to counseling is that of a “fellow traveler” who takes the journey alongside of you in a way that is calm, open, supportive, empathic and actively engaged with you at all times. Nick brings a unique existential approach to counseling that helps you in the “here and now,” and daily lived experiences of your life. Nick also incorporates motivational interviewing, CBT, and acceptance and commitment therapy techniques and modifies his approach to fit your needs.

The focus of Nick’s clinical work is with teenagers, young adults, adults, and couples who struggle with issues involving anxiety, depression, personality disorders, intimacy (emotional and/or sexual), LGBTQIA, self-image/esteem, phobias, OCD, reconnection after an affair, porn/sex/love addiction, grief/loss, and marriage/relationship counseling.

Nick is a NC native of Johnston County, where he currently lives with his family. He enjoys hiking, kayaking, amusement parks, fishing, and is always up for a new adventure.
