Kim Konderla is a Licensed Clinical Social Work. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from North Carolina State University and has a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a minor in education from Stephen F. Austin State University.
Kim has over 5 years of experience working with children and families in a variety of different settings. Her background is in early childhood education and early intervention. She has a passion for working with children and parents through parenting issues, child behavioral issues, and life transitions. She particularly enjoys treating children and adolescents that are experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and difficulty regulating emotions.
Kim practices from a client-centered, strengths-based approach with the belief that treatment should draw from the strengths that the client brings to the table and be catered to their individual needs. Kim utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, mindfulness, play therapy, and art therapy. She is also certified in the Triple P Positive Parenting Program and thoroughly enjoys supporting parents through the adventure of raising little ones.
Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking (and eating!) good food, and working in her garden. She and her husband moved to Raleigh from Texas in 2015, and she has enjoyed living here more than she thought possible.
