Katie is a graduate student pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wake Forest University. She completed her undergraduate studies at East Carolina University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Family and Community Services, and at Meredith College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Child Development with a K–6 teaching license. With a background in education and child development, Katie is passionate about supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward personal growth and emotional well-being. She believes counseling should provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves and being their authentic selves. Katie takes a collaborative and individualized approach to counseling, recognizing that each person’s experiences and needs are unique. She is especially interested in working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, and life transitions, and she welcomes individuals from all backgrounds and identities.
