Johnathan Morgan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate with years of experience in a variety of mental health settings. He received a Master’s in Social Work in 2014 and a Bachelor’s in Social Work in 2013 from East Carolina University. For Johnathan, people are his passion and primary focus both in his professional and his personal life, and he is dedicated to leaving his clients in a better state of being than he found them.

Johnathan works with adults, children, and adolescents of all ages and specializes in treating anxiety, depression, behavioral disorders, attention deficit disorders, parenting, loss of meaning, phobias, impulse control disorders, and suicidality. He has experience in working with groups and in the community, as well as individual and family therapy. In therapy, Johnathan will provide a positive, supportive, and non-judgmental space for the client to express themselves the way they see fit.
Johnathan is adept at implementing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths Based Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Johnathan’s approach to counseling involves clearly defining the problem as well as defining what success looks from the client’s perspective. Measuring symptoms and tracking progress through the course of therapeutic sessions is the preferred method so that the client can understand clearly where they are in the therapeutic process, how far they have come, and what is left to accomplish.

Born and raised in North Carolina, his earliest memories are of living in a tent in the woods with his mother and sister. Watching his family go from these humble beginnings to owning multiple properties, Johnathan learned that a life can be changed through steadfast perseverance, and he applies this belief in treatment.
