James believes counseling is a space for self-discovery, deep acceptance, and the meaningful work of growth. His approach is rooted in Person Centered Therapy and integrates CBT, IFS, and DBT. He has experience working with adolescents and adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, and relational or emotional challenges especially for those feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of what’s next. He brings an accepting, steady, curious, and compassionate presence to the therapy room, holding space for both laughter and pain, insight and uncertainty. He believes in adapting his approach to meet each individual’s unique needs and offers a Biblical worldview as an integrated option for those who desire it. Whether someone is ready to make changes or still finding the courage to hope for something different, James is honored to meet them exactly where they are. Originally from southeastern Wisconsin, James enjoys the outdoors, playing guitar and writing music.
