Camela Barker, M.A., LPA is a graduate student at Fielding Graduate University, where she is pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology with a concentration in health psychology. Her clinical interests are in assisting adults who experience chronic pain/illnesses, trauma, and/or depression to develop or enhance strategies for coping and increasing their quality of life.
Upon completion of her doctorate, she plans to expand her clinical training by becoming certified in Acceptance-Commitment Therapy (ACT). Additionally, she plans to continue to contribute to the body of scientific research related to health, health disparities, and psycho-social well-being and translating outcomes into evidence-based, culturally sensitive clinical interventions to meet the needs of those she serves.
