Adailia Darby is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and she earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Clarion University of PA, and a Master of Social Work degree from Widener University in Chester, PA. Adailia’s clinical work has allowed her to serve clients in a variety of settings for over 15 years to include working with the geriatric population, medical setting; grief/loss, depression, anxiety, chronic health issues, self-esteem, and unexpected life events.
As a clinician, her experience has taught her that the most important aspect of counseling by far is the connection and comfort you feel with the person you choose to share your personal struggles.
Adailia is known for her smile, humor, ability to form strong therapeutic connections, increase the client’s comfort, commitment to the therapeutic process, practical problem-solving, and supporting clients’ growth.
Adailia is committed to teaching and empowering her clients with the knowledge and to help individuals cope better with life’s challenges and to minimize their suffering. Her kind and compassionate approach to patient-centered care ensure that her clients feel heard, validated, supported, and inspired to live balanced, healthy lives.
Adailia describes her approach as strengths-based, goal-oriented, and client-centered. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral, Mindfulness-based, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy therapeutic modalities.
Adailia is from Pennsylvania and now has made NC her forever home; she loves to travel the world and loves movie time with extra buttered popcorn.
