Desi

Desi is passionate about supporting individuals working toward personal growth throughout their journey of life. She is a graduate student obtaining her Master of Arts in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Additionally, she is also working toward obtaining her certification in Play Therapy through her program. During her undergraduate years, Desi spent time in Virginia completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Emory & Henry University. Through her passion for mental health, she values empathy, collaboration, and trust in the therapeutic relationship and strives to meet each individual where they are in their journey with openness and respect. Desi is committed to providing a welcoming, nonjudgemental, and safe environment where individuals feel heard, valued, and empowered.

During her free time, Desi enjoys coaching various sports in her hometown’s local Special Olympic program. Additionally, she enjoys trying new coffee shops, reading, trips to the beach, and antiquing. She is available to work with children, adolescents, and adults with various backgrounds. She is ready to assist you in your journey!
