Karen Clark-Lowman received her Master’s Degree, with specialization in Community Mental Health Counseling, from Wilmington College, in Wilmington, Delaware. She has a tremendous amount of experience working with individuals who have co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders.
She is skilled at working with individuals in forensic settings, the state health and human services system, inpatient and outpatient environments. She promotes and encourages integrated services to better enhance an individual’s health.
She enjoys working with individuals, couples and leading therapy groups. Karen’s areas of specialty include: anxiety and depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), personality and mood disorders, trauma/crisis treatment, divorce/relationships, and substance abuse/dependence.
Karen strongly believes in using a holistic approach to help others navigate their complex worlds in order to live a healthier, less stressful life. She encompasses all the different components of ones life to assist them with envisioning how all issues are interrelated.
With over 19 years of experience in the counseling field, Karen is the mother of two children who are her world and have inspired her to evolve in her career to enhance their wellbeing as well as others.
